Greetings, Coffee Lover!

A few months ago, the mantra around Glen Arbor was “when will summer arrive?”

Last Friday.  It’s been sunny and 90 ever since.

Lots of familiar faces are back in town for the summer, and things are certainly hopping at the coffee shop!  Unfortunately, it’s almost too warm to sit on the patio, but most patrons figure this is what they’d been waiting for, and are taking advantage of the gorgeous (if not downright hot) weather.

In the family news department, Steve and John’s parents—I like to call them Mr. & Mrs. Arens—celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Sunday, with all their children and grandchildren.  And Jody is in the homestretch with the next grandchild due in mid-August.  I hear she’s not enjoying the heat these days!

It’s Cherry Festival time in the County, and although the cherry crop is going to be very low, we still thought we’d feature all of our cherry-flavored coffees in honor of the occasion.  So, place your internet order for Leelanau Cherry or Chocolate Cherry Festival, type “Cherry Festival Savings” in the “comments” box of the order form, and save $1/pound!  Drink it iced on these hot summer days for a cool treat.
