Greetings, Coffee Lover!
A great deal of mystery and intrigue have surrounded the Leelanau Coffee Roasting cafe over the past week! A mysterious car (1989 blue Ford Tempo) appeared one night in our parking lot. Locked. No license plates. Freshly washed. With all four wheel covers. And no one in town could recognize it.
The Sheriff came out and ran the VIN: no record in Michigan. Two days later he told us that it was from Montana, last owned by a guy named Vaclav. At this point, our staff detectives, regulars, and visiting sleuths were all speculating: who was in the trunk? Allowed to unlock the doors to tow it, we discovered that the car was clean as a whistle…except for the service records from last September in Ft. Collins, Colorado, which also showed Vaclav to be a Czech national. International intrigue! To see our sleuths and the car, follow this link, http://www.coffeeguys.com/mysterycar.html
Moments before the car was to be towed away (and the trunk opened!) our friends and neighbors at Harris Properties identified the car as theirs
Mystery solved. They bought it from friends in Montana, who delivered it to our parking lot without informing anyone it arrived; and Theresa, who was transacting the deal, was away for the week. We were crushed. Jimmy Hoffa, D.B. Cooper, and Chandra Levy are still at large and we are no closer to tracking them down. And Doug is nearly in tears, having dreamed of driving a stickshift, 1989 Ford Tempo this summer.

Where can I find your coffee? I live on Six Mile Lake near East Jordan. Thanks for your response in advance.
Ken, your closest stores are likely the Oleson’s in Charlevoix and Petoskey, and then the Village Markets in Elk Rapids and Alden
